  1. Geez, what a lion of a woman. I’m a songwriter, but my stuff is jazz. This reminds me of the Janis Ian/Laura Nyro music that gave me courage to strut my stuff in my 20s, playing for myself. But this Beth Hart? In. F-ing. Credible! Amy

    • I just found this comment and glad I did. I am blown away we have this in common. And yet not. Music is very much in my background and history too. I am a folk/blues vocalist mainly wit some country thrown in.
      I think of Beth as channeling Janis, who was my mentor as a young aspiring artist. so much am I Janis fan my youngest daughter is named after Janis Joplin.
      I musically looked up to her, emotionally I could see how broken she was in many ways. But then she’d not have had the soul to her music if not for the trials and the tribulations she ran into. Her music fills my home as Beth Hart’s does.
      Thank you so much for sharing with me. Now I know more about you too.
