These Are The Moments

These Are The Moments

These are the moments in our life that make us, and they set the course of who we’re always going to be.

Sometimes they’re little, subtle moments.

Sometimes, they are big moments, moments we never saw coming.

Most often no one asks for their life to change, but it does.

It’s what you do with that change and the afterwards that counts.

That’s when you find out who you really are.

In Living the Afterward of Change

Frolic and meander, even when you are made fun of.

Kiss your lover while others are about and may be watching.

Sleep, even when you’re afraid of what your dreams have been bringing.

Run, even when it feels like you cannot possibly lift a another foot and run another inch.

Laugh out loud, even when you feel too sick, or too exhausted.

Laugh anyway. Trust, even when your heart is screaming NO, and you think it could break you.

Trust anyway. Sing, even if others take on that smug smile, like their singing breaks crystal.

Sing anyway.

And Dance, even if you can’t keep time, and you suddenly grow two left (right) feet.

Dance anyway.

Smile, even if you really feel like crying. Tears only blur your vision.

Smile anyway.

.Never forget a moment, even when the memories tug at your heart string’s and leave a hole. Because of all the pain & joy we experience we become the deep feeling kind of person we are meant to be.

Without our experiences we are void of emotions, a vital missing link to who we are. What makes us brave is our enthusiasm to live through our trials, tribulations and hurdles in life; and then still make the choice to hold our head up high the very next day.

Let us not live with a fear of life.

We became even stronger after all our experiences and painful moments that have happened.

Maybe stronger now…….more than we ever were before –

  1. Pingback: My Moments – allaboutlemon-All Around, In, And Out Of My Own Universe

    • Me too Terry. I am fascinated with what brought me here to today, and what today is going to do to get me there to tomorrow.
Self-reflection is completely underrated in my opinion, I think if more of us like you and me spent some time in reflection we’d be closer to peace throughout this world.
Thank you so much for visiting my friend, you lift me up with your thoughts. So many times mirroring my own. ~

      • I am big in self-reflecting. I always am looking at my path, wondering where I am going, why am I here at this moment. I always know that my friends enter my life for a reason. some leave, some stay but each one touches me and helps me live a better life, hugs my friend

        • There is absolute truth to what you say about reasons for being.. I love knowing that this is true.
I also love the gentle reminders occasionally that do come about because someone has touched my life, and I know why. When it all of a sudden becomes clear and makes sense.
These are one of life’s most exquisite moments, one of those Aha Moments when something settles right into the middle of our heart and we know it

You are that authentic soul that I am able to find a reconciliation of my feelings with shares from special people like you Terry,
Thank you ever so much for this. ~

  2. “let us not live with a fear of life”. The reading of this thrilled my heart and resonated in so many ways with my own journey right now. I want to live without fear, resting in the moment, and learning every day to rejoice in where the journey has brought me.

    • You make my heart gladdened with the comment you left Joss. Thank you.
I read your poem on living in the moment and adored it which is why I re-blogged it to follow this post. I do hope you don’t mind. As I said on your post this is not my typical style.

I will be standing tall right there with you – living life for all we are worth, even if I am there in spirit only I am there.
I celebrate you my friend Joss!

  3. beautiful and really explains why i find it easy to embrace my life as it is now. i want to learn and love each moment. it is easy to love the fun times, it is a gift to love the tough ones.

    • Oh my friend… those tough times that we still choose to embrace are the times we mos learn deeply from, I am convinced of this. To NOT turn off and away is really where the courage is.
You are such an inspiration for me, I see you as one of those persons in my life who has much to mentor me over and I like you want to learn.A genuine & gentle soul is yours and you make it so easy to love who you are.

Keep your truths always shining for us to bask in please ~

  4. What makes us brave is our enthusiasm to live through our trials, tribulations and hurdles in life; and then still make the choice to hold our head up high the very next day. True that — but a hard truth–I try to hold my head up high–but I have to watch my feet so I don’t stumble–a hard balance. I will be making a complaint soon, as soon as figure out when the 2nd Tuesday of the week is—–

    • So it is a hard truth. Maybe it is one of those parts of life that are meant to not be so easy so we really pay attention. You said the key word I think, ‘balance’ It is what people like you & I strive for I think.
I am writing a post that you & I have spoke about (2nd Tuesday complaints) often. I am wanting to tie it back to you being the ONLY person ever to be so observant to notice.
I am kind of fascinated with this.

Thanks for being muse friend ~

      • I always think it is so clever–so I am looking forward to your post highlighting it and seeing the comments–I bet others noticed and did not mention it, though I am not sure why, because as I said it is clever–have a wonderful day today

        • You know Lou you sill are the sole observer of the 2nd Tuesday of the week. I think it is hysterical, and my premise for said post is based on observation. I will leave it as a test of sorts to see if anyone else finds it, even with a prompt and challenge by your discovery first.
Kind of fun. Will post probably tomorrow (Saturday)

Thanks again for your visits. I adore it every time I see your blog name.

You are most welcome to share your thoughts, comments, and/or complaints here. Know though complaints are only handled on the 2nd Tuesday of the week.~ The Management
