“A friend might well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature.”
Do you have a memory of being the new kid at a new a new school or class? Or the new employee of an office full of people who have worked together for many years?
Do you recall that feeling as you walked in the door alone?
This was what I was feeling with my very first published post here on WordPress in early Spring 2011. like I had just walked into a new classroom, the new kid in the school. I have been writing on my WP account since I created it 2008 but could never find the courage to post my random thoughts. Because of a charming and loving blogger whose name is Kate Krasee that first day was made much more comfortable because of her.. I am not sure I ever thanked her. I hope so Kate.
My first post published came after I had begun reading and then following a few blogs, after following Kate’s blog, I garnered a feel for how things were being done at WordPress, Kate my first real blogging friend who you all know (I know you do) as Kate Krasse, has graced me with this new award. The 2012 Blog of The Year Award. Kate was my encouragement right from her first post I read. She has an inspiring way about her that creates the sense within that your own creative wings the need to soar right along with hers. Kate has been a devoted and loyal friend who I cherish. I think of her as one of my blog “bliblings” ( = blog- siblings. Thanks Pam for the word) It’s the coolest thing between this Boomer Kate & I, aside from our love of all things musically about the 60’s (we recite folk lyrics back and forth ) she and I can go for weeks without contact, and the minute we meet up its obvious not a beat was skipped between us. Nothing lost That is an amazing blessing to me.
My deepest thanks and gratitude go to Kate for this charming award. I cannot imagine anyone not knowing Kate, but should you have missed meeting her, fear not. Please visit her blog so aptly name; “Believe Anyway” which was the very draw for me to her in the first place. So mirrors my own beliefs. You can find Kate @ http://believeanyway.wordpress.com/
Here are the rules and my participation.
Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award
You all know I hate having to choose, and most often refuse to. This time for this Blog of The Year Award there comes to my mind immediately someone whose blog I believe should be seen in the light of this 2012 blog of the Year Award. The author of this blog is such a personal inspiration to me that I often accuse her of writing her post’s just for me, or about me. She knows thankfully I really do not believe the universe revolves around only me, and can easily laugh at my silly notion. My sentiment is no less sincere though. This Bloggers name is TeeCee at Wise Council here: http://teeceecounsel.wordpress.com/ From her authentic heart to anyone who reads her work you will find yourself walking away smiling and feeling good about yourself and life. This lady is the epitome of grace and I am honored that she calls me a true friend, not just an acquaintance .
Congratulations TeeCee! You are my choice for the 2012 Blog of The Year Award. Enjoy my dear friend~
