* If you plant forgiveness, you will reap reconciliation
The piece above I am afraid I have no clue the source. It has been many moons since I tucked this away in a hard bound journal of mine. Tonight/today I see it again as it tumbles out of the book. I’d even forgotten I had it. I do that find or jot down quotes, little tidbits that speak to my mind, heart and soul. My goal is to one day gather them all from their own little stash place and put them in book. This has been my plan for as long as I have been collecting these kinds of snippets. and that has been longer than I am willing to admit here.
I’ve just now decided it should go on my blog, even though I cannot give credit where credit is due. If anyone has any information I’d greatly appreciate it.
I hope these words have an impact on you as they still do me.

Planting and Reaping
If you plant honesty, You will reap trust.
If you plant goodness, You will reap friends.
If you plant humility, You will reap greatness.
If you plant perseverance, You will reap victory.
If you plant consideration, You will reap harmony.
If you plant hard work, You will reap success.
If you plant forgiveness, You will reap reconciliation.
If you plant openness, You will reap intimacy.
If you plant patience, You will reap improvements.
If you plant faith, You will reap miracles
BUT…………….
If you plant dishonesty, You will reap distrust.
If you plant selfishness, You will reap loneliness
If you plant pride, You will reap destruction.
If you plant envy, You will reap trouble.
If you plant laziness, You will reap stagnation.
If you plant bitterness, You will reap isolation.
If you plant greed, You will reap loss.
If you plant gossip, You will reap enemies.
If you plant worries, You will reap wrinkles.
If you plant sin, You will reap guilt.
So be careful what you plant now … It will determine what you will reap tomorrow. The seeds you now scatter, will make life worse or better. Yes, someday, you will enjoy the fruits, or you will pay for the choices you plant today.

You are my hero today!! I love that you shared this thank you!! You are so good for this blog girl.
Did I say thank you? 🙂 Thank you!
I thought you would feel better that it was by anonymous–I hope that famous anonymous made a lot of money from all his stuff
I love your blog
I do feel better because I never like not giving credit. Again thank you. You’re so sweet.
Is your first name Karry? I’ve been trying to suss it out of you without asking. How close am I?
that is the very end of my name –it is LouAnn; Karry was tacked onto my maiden name when I married; my last name is Geauvreau-Karry
I’m so sorry LouAnn. I hated not having your name and so was going to try and be a detetive. WE can see that is not my profession or do I have an apptitude for it. 🙂
I could be considered sinister though. I did get you to tell me your name.
Oh my this is fun. You make the best blogging sister. ~ BB
I like having a blogging sister — 🙂
we are now bliblings. ~ BB
love it – Toni- right?
Yes LouAnn it’s Toni. Now that we have named one another 🙂 we can go on being sisters. Families should know one anothers name, even blogging families.
Hugs ~ BB
’tis so true blogsis
Wonderful!!! Thanks so much for sharing it!!
You my dear Cee are so welcome my friend. Always ~ BB
Great words, BB. I have a similar collection in an old plastic file/recipe box–but don’t get excited about what sounds like good organization; I have other snippets of wisdom, etc, literally “all over the place” (unfiled, unsorted). The only cool thing is like you said, you rediscover them at odd moments–found treasure! God bless you today, and all week–love, sis Caddo
Yes Sis! It’s so true, finding them at times when they speak even louder,.. so cool!
I am not surprised really to learn that you too have a similar collection. What fun it would be to compare some day. Or trade like old fashioned trading cards. Oh what fun!
Thanks for coming by and spreading some sis caddo love, you’re the best! Love & blessings abound ~ BB
Oooh, I like that idea: trading “quotation” cards!! Sis, we could start a new thing, eh?!! (Like we need a new project, I know….) much love, sis Caddo
LOL.. oh yeah sis, that is just what we need? 🙂 But it’s such a great idea now watch someone do it. hee-hee.
What a great project to work on though, can you imagine? Surrounded by pretty pattern papers, even fabric, and quotes all day, and in mine and yours case all night while working on them? How fun.
You know–a lifetime ago, I used to make gift books for special people: I’d buy a hardbound sketch book, use rubber cement to put cut out magazine pics or portions of greeting cards in it, and then choose quotes significant for the person and occasion to go with the pics. That’s how the file box of quotes got started–hadn’t thought of those book projects in ages!
Yes, yes! Oh sis we are of the same sisterhood cloth. I have been clipping all of my life, my very beginning to memory keeping. And mini albums. I do the same thing for gifts and have become known for them in my tiny tiny world.
Great mind sthink alike sweetie! You are my sis caddo, no doubt about it. Love & many blessings my dear friend and sister
Funny, how things come back–I learned the idea for those books from a gal in my college dorm. They would cost a fortune to make now–the price of magazines has become too prohibitive for me!! See you later!
Sadly I never stopped making them. What’s that say about me I wonder. I even moved on to buying pattern paper. Daughter #2 says I have enough sup;;ies to open my own store. Hmm..
Selling my cards has buffed my budget some.
And I scrounge my friens for their old magazines and catalogs. Sick!
Love ya sis ~ BB
In the process of travelling the tree of Life. And am enjoying it very much….Thanks for share My Lady.:)

Love this! So sorry I still haven’t planted the Bring them Home widget (still trying to figure out how – I am so stupid!)
Jules you are not stupid, far from it. And you have how much time in the day for yourself?
Please do not beat yourself up for this. I have a motto about blogging.
It goes like this.
Faith, Family, Friends & then blogging and if it so happens that friends and blogs fit together what an amazing added gift!
Take care friend~ BB
It is called ‘The Seed of Honesty’ but has been quoted by so many that the original source has disappeared. I plant things around in nooks and crannies knowing that what I need will surface when I need it, so I relate very well to your methods here. Sometimes it is a charm, a fortune cookie reading, a little card with verse. A book is a great idea 🙂
Hi Tracy! Thanks so much for sharing the title of this with me! I cannot tell you how long this piece was in my journal.
Your little plantings so remind me of my rocks that hold little messages and inspiring words that I have tucked everwhere, and put in my daughter’s purses and sneak into grand children”s bedrooms.
Funny, no one seems to know who the great rockster is. It’s a running game the kids play. I enjoy it and love finding a rock here and there myself when I most need them.
I’ve just decided this pice should go on a large really flat rock I also found some moons ago. Thanks so much for visiting. It means a lot to see you.
Take care my friend ~ BB
This is truly a tree of knowledge; whoever wrote the words related to every leaf.
My love and blessings to you, BB – Maxi
Maxi Dear thanks so much for coming by. I have found out this piece is called The Seed of Honesty (see above) but still no author. I have so many little gems like this stashed in different books, my desk, etc.. one day I’ll compile them all.
I Think they’d make a great hand made quote book for my granddaughter who loves and lives on qoutes right now. !9yrs old. That age where every quote is a strong message. – Oh To be that age again.
You my friend have become a constant source of sunshine to me. Thank you for that!
My love and prayers Maxi. Take care ~ BB
