2012 Blog of the Year Award

“A friend might well be reckoned the masterpiece of nature.”

Do you have a memory of being the new kid at a new a new school or class? Or the new employee of an office full of people who have worked together for many years?

Do you recall that feeling as you walked in the door alone?

This was what I was feeling with my very first published post here on WordPress  in early Spring 2011. like I had just walked into a new classroom, the new kid in the school. I have been writing on my WP account since I created it 2008 but could never find the courage to post my random thoughts. Because of a charming and loving blogger whose name is Kate Krasee   that first day was made  much more comfortable because of her.. I am not sure I ever thanked her. I hope so Kate.

Blog of the Year Award 1 star jpeg

My first post published came after I had begun reading and then following a few blogs,  after following Kate’s blog,  I garnered a feel for how things were being done at WordPress, Kate my first real  blogging friend who you all know (I know you do)  as Kate Krasse,  has graced me with this new award.  The 2012 Blog of The Year Award.  Kate was my encouragement right from her first post I read.  She has an inspiring way about her that creates the sense within that your own creative wings the need to soar right along with hers. Kate has been a devoted and loyal  friend  who I cherish. I think of her as one of my blog “bliblings” ( = blog- siblings.  Thanks Pam for the word)  It’s the coolest thing between this Boomer Kate  & I, aside from our love of all things musically about the 60′s (we recite folk lyrics back and forth )  she and I can go for weeks without contact, and the minute we meet up its obvious not a beat was skipped between us. Nothing lost  That is an amazing blessing to me.

My deepest thanks and gratitude go to Kate for this charming award.  I cannot imagine anyone not knowing Kate, but should you have missed meeting her, fear not. Please visit her blog so aptly name; “Believe Anyway” which was the very draw for me to her in the first place. So mirrors my own beliefs. You can find Kate @ http://believeanyway.wordpress.com/

Here are the rules and my participation.

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

You all know I hate having to choose, and most often refuse to. This time for this Blog of The Year Award there comes to my mind immediately someone whose blog  I believe should be seen in the light of this  2012 blog of the Year Award. The author of this blog is such a personal inspiration to me that  I often accuse her of writing her post’s just for me, or about me. She knows thankfully I really do not believe the universe revolves around only me, and can easily laugh at my silly notion. My sentiment is no less sincere though. This Bloggers name is TeeCee at Wise Council here: http://teeceecounsel.wordpress.com/  From her authentic heart to anyone who reads her work you will find yourself walking away smiling and feeling good about yourself and life. This lady is the epitome of grace and I am honored that she calls me a true friend, not just an acquaintance .

Congratulations TeeCee!  You are my choice for the 2012 Blog of The Year Award. Enjoy my dear friend~

  1. I too thought you are a seasoned blogger…You write so beautifully, and I for one absolutely LOVE your blog. Congratulations on the award. You deserve every single award you get!! You also have this amazing ability to reach out to people and create friendships. That is a rare and very beautiful characteristic. I am truly appreciative of the cyber friendship that we have forged. You are a very special person.

    • Tersia I have no clue how i missed your comment here, but so obviously did. I am sorry my friend not intentional at all I am trusting you know this.

You words to me have much meaning My dear friend (maybe a reason I did not find this comment until tonight I think you one of the most down to earth, honest, and real people I have had the gift of meeting here at WP.
What I can say to your words is that i just like people. People like you make this world worth being part of, you bring a bright and shining light to my world and to others. Ia m most grateful for that light. ~ You are now and always my hero.~

  2. My Dear Lady, You make me quite proud. I am very pleased that you received this award.

You couldn’t help but, succeed as you are that friend who, takes those new to the group by, the hand, and with all the purity that truth has to offer, you find something about them to make them feel good, and worthy, You facilitate their move in to the group, and make it easy.

Truth, and authenticity can never fail.

    Congratulations!

    Cordially, I remain….

    • My Groovy Dave,
Thank you for your amazing message and such thoughtfulness. Your visits and shared words here always bring a smile into this heart.

You humble me.I think you give me far too much credit. It is only in how I would like to see myself, or mine I love treated that I treat. We teach others how to treat us. I know that you know me well enough to know that I expect to get what I give. It’s the mighty wonderful; Law of Attraction.. I know that what I project comes back ten fold
I there for try to project the love I feel in my heart, the sensibilities in my soul, and the common sense in my mind. It is only a fraction of that which I receive back every day, Especially from people just like you Groovy Dave! ‘

May you always have a Peaceful Easy Feeling ~

  3. This is so good, Tj–as soon as I read the part about being new in school, I felt the physical cringing, and you’re right, it didn’t get much better being the new employee on staff. The spotlight is on you, and if you don’t have a strong sense of self, and confidence, you just want to disappear through the floor. And I SO LOVE “bliblings”–wow, that’s good!!! Anyway, congrats on the award–Blog of the Year, so HUGE!! God bless you BIG–love, sis Caddo

    • Commando you bring such light to my life. I am lifted by how you always understand just what I mean. I am still cringing from some of those days of being the newbie. Thought I confident until I was the nee kid on the block, and in school. Fortunately for me when it was time for being a new employee I was better able to deal with it as an adult. But the feeling has stayed with me long enough I have great empathy for this anyone in that position.

Thanks Caddo for your chat I always enjoy them, ~

      Thanks again~
